This original abstract painting on watercolor paper is inspired by a family friend's pond in the Adirondack mountains. In the fall, when the first warning of winter turned the leaves into a glorious display of color, the pond mirrored the kaleidoscopic panorama.

"Mac's Pond" is heavily textured, revealing subtle undertones that are not visible in this image.
The painting is bordered by 2" of white watercolor paper. It is ready to be matted and framed or simply "floated" to show the deckle on all four sides.

(This painting was originally sold to a buyer who later decided to exchange it for another painting)

This painting is my impression of cascading waters rushing over the rocks of a steep waterfall. Lots of heavily applied acrylic paint, enhanced with sgraffito scratch outs, make this an exciting painting to experience. Run your fingers over this heavily textured canvas and notice all the detail that went into creating this unique painting.

The canvas is stretched over 1.5" deep wood bars. The sides are painted with Micaceous Iron Oxide, a textured gray/black paint and does not need to be framed. The painting is wired and ready to hang. Having lived on the Gulf coast of Florida, we rarely saw a tide come in with much force. But on the Atlantic side of the state, the ocean rushes in quickly, washing away anything that is in its way.
